Housing 180 helps people and families in transition
Rising Rents Mean More Families without Homes
Our community is growing, making it hard to find a place to call home—especially for our neighbors who already struggle to make ends meet. Housing 180 helps people and families in transition pay below-market rent for up to three years.
HOW ARE PROGRAM WORKS
Our nonprofit partners refer people who are vulnerable yet capable of earning an income that will eventually allow them to pay market-rate for their home. Housing 180 subsidizes a portion of rent. As the family experiences more stability, the portion of rent they pay increases.
We work with landlords and community members in the southwest Denver-metro area to help find affordable, safe apartments.
In exchange for a rental subsidy, people who qualify for Housing 180 volunteer at Cafe 180, a community cafe in Englewood where everybody eats, regardless of ability to pay.
This nonprofit program is supported by local realtors and other businesses who generously donate a percentage of their revenue to help our nonprofit pay rent for the families we serve.
